Hype Heaven or Hell: Too Faced Born This Way

In 2015 Too Faced launched their Born This Way Foundation. The beauty community freaked out, but is it worth the hype?

Color

From what I understand the shade range is fairly vast. There are 18 shades, but like many brands the shades are centered around fair-medium skin tones. I would like to see them extend that part of the range like they did with the addition of two pale shades early this year

Formulation

Too Faced claims this is a medium to full coverage foundation. I find this is true but it leans more towards full coverage than medium. I love how this foundation looks as it truly looks like skin (and not in the bullsh*t way we hear from most bloggers). W

ith a Beauty Blender, this foundation is AMAZING for textured skin (or skin with acne) because it has enough coverage to cover the majority of the redness without looking cakey. This means you don’t have to layer as many products to get a flawless finish, which is always better for your skin. It also holds up well on oily skin throughout the day. It will get shiny, but it will not break down.

Packaging

PRAISE THE LORD IT COMES IN A PUMP. The pump is great because you can stop and do partial pumps (which saves product!). I also love the frosted glass detail, it doesn’t get dirty easily.

Final Thoughts: Hype Heaven

Great Formulation and packaging. Just wish the shade selection was better on the darker side!
