Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint: Namaste, Obvi, Goals Swatches + Review

Now, I am going to start by saying I’m in love with the Glossy Lip Paint Formula. I have the two nude shades Obvi (bronzy pink nude) and Goals (rosy nude). Despite the fact that this product is marketed mainly to the teen demographic and the names are somewhat cringy, the product is very good.

They are basically very pigmented lip-glosses. The formula is slightly sticky, but enough for the product to last on the lips. What I really love about this formula is how the color wears off. As the glossiness wears off the color stays on the lips and wears off evenly, so the product stays on for a while. Another aspect I like about them is the color does not gather in the lips and that is has a smoothing effect.

Obvi, Goals, Namaste

During the winter, Tarte released their matte Lip Paint range. Although this shade is constantly sold out, I was able to get my hands on a sample size. The color is a light peachy nude, and probably only suits fair to light-medium skin tones.

The formula is most similar to the NYX soft matte lip cream, and unlike most of the liquid lipsticks, this does transfer significantly. The texture is somewhat oily, but that goes away when the product sets. It will last you probably an hour without eating or drinking. This is like a regular lipstick honestly but the formula is easy to apply. And they do have a good range of shades I also appreciate how Tarte sells matching lip liners to their Lip Paint range.

Considering that the product is comfortable, I would recommend it.

9/10 recommend. Good wear, good finishes, and good textures.
